Paul Say Lead guitar & vocals |
Recruited to the lead guitar spot in Splinter in early 2008, for the last 10 years Paul has busy having a family and repping in the music industry which he loved for the most part. This not only kept him in touch with things in the industry, it was the perfect preperation for the opening of the North's premier music shop Red House Music which is now nearly four years old with a fabulous repuation because he's so great! Never too far away from the live scene Paul has deputised for absent guitarists in bands on several occasions and kept his fingers busy writing his own material. Paul has quite a number of guitars but seems to favour a battered Fender Strat which he has customised and beaten up over the years. He also has a number of amps but favours a Laney TT100 for live performances. Added to that are a few select pedals and his face lights up when it's all switched on and that beautiful feedback kicks in. Paul has a passion for football so he no longer has a season ticket at Elland Road! He despises all soaps and often wonders in quiet moments how it was he wasted one and a half hours watching them every night. Paul fully admits his strongest point is not vocals but he ably contributes with harmonies and promises he will one day sing a whole song which will come as something of a shock to those who know him! |
